We provide mental health consultation and treatment to Individuals across the Lifespan
At Lifespan Psychiatric Consulting, our mission is to provide culturally specific, neurodiversity-affirming psychiatric care for individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and genetic disorders. We use rational, evidence-based and evidence-informed treatment approaches that prioritize safety, transparency, and shared decision-making. Our clinicians deliver compassionate, individualized care that respects each person’s lived experience, communication style, and support needs. Through accessible services, including telehealth, we work to reduce disparities, remove barriers to care, and promote wellbeing, resilience, and improved quality of life for every individual and family we serve.
Lifespan Psychiatric Consulting is a Medicaid provider for individuals enrolled in Oregon’s Developmental Disabilities Program. We offer comprehensive psychiatric services—including in-office, telehealth, and in-home visits—specializing in the care of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, autism, and related conditions.
To help reduce financial barriers, we also provide a sliding fee scale for clients who are uninsured or underinsured. Our goal is to ensure that every individual and family can access the psychiatric support they need in the setting that works best for them.
At Lifespan Psychiatric Consulting, we believe that effective psychiatric care is rooted in a holistic understanding of each individual’s experience—taking into account biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental dimensions. We view neurodiversity and developmental difference not as deficits, but as valid expressions of identity, each with unique strengths, perspectives, and support needs.
We commit to patient-centered care: collaborating closely with individuals, families, and support networks to build treatment plans that reflect each person’s communication style, preferences, and life goals. We embrace a least-intrusive, least-restrictive framework, using medication, psychotherapy, behavioral strategies, and environmental adjustments only as needed and aligned with each person’s values.
We adhere to evidence-based and evidence-informed practices, combining the best available research with clinical judgment and individual context—especially in areas where the research base is emerging, such as neurodevelopmental populations. Transparency, shared decision-making, and ongoing review of outcomes guide our approach.
Finally, we believe that access, equity, and cultural humility are essential. We strive to reduce barriers to care, respect cultural and linguistic diversity, and ensure that every person—regardless of background or ability—receives affirming, respectful, and effective behavioral health services.

Many of our clients seek medication support to help manage symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, mood instability, and challenges associated with autism or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our approach to psychiatric medication management is careful, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each individual’s lived experience.
We focus on rational, evidence-based prescribing—using the least intrusive, most effective options to support your goals. Together, we explore what you’re experiencing, how symptoms affect daily functioning, and whether medication may be a helpful part of your treatment plan. Follow-up visits emphasize monitoring benefits, side effects, and overall wellbeing while ensuring that any medication remains appropriate, safe, and aligned with your preferences.
Our clinicians partner with you, your support system, and other providers when appropriate to create a steady, informed path toward improved stability, comfort, and quality of life.

Lifespan Psychiatric Consulting offers comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services tailored to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, autism, and related conditions. Our clinicians provide medication management, psychotherapy, care coordination, and both telehealth and in-person support to meet each individual’s unique needs.
We also offer specialized diagnostic consultation grounded in best practices for evaluating neurodevelopmental, genetic, and psychiatric conditions. Our approach emphasizes clear communication, culturally responsive assessment, and collaboration with families, caregivers, schools, and support teams to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
Whether through ongoing care or targeted consultation, our goal is to deliver accessible, evidence-based, and developmentally informed services that promote wellbeing across the lifespan.

Depression, fear, anxiety, and trauma-related stress are common challenges for many of the individuals we serve, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our therapists provide a calm, structured, and affirming space where clients can build emotional regulation skills, strengthen self-management, and reconnect with confidence, motivation, and joy.
Our team integrates cognitive behavioral therapy with collaborative problem-solving strategies, adapting each intervention to the client’s communication style, sensory profile, and processing needs. We also incorporate dialectical-informed skills, exposure-based and trauma-focused approaches, restorative practices, and supportive therapy techniques.
Across all services, we emphasize clear communication, practical coping skills, and culturally responsive, person-centered care. Our goal is to help each individual develop autonomy, meaningful daily-life skills, and a stronger sense of well-being.
