Andrew Vilius, RN, MS, PMHNP-BC

Andrew Vilius, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who has been caring for patients and families for more than 20 years. He founded Lifespan Psychiatric Consulting in 2007 and expanded in 2012 to create a space where autistic individuals and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can receive compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly individualized care.

Andrew specializes in supporting neurodivergent patients with complex communication styles, sensory differences, and co-occurring mental health needs. His approach is calm, respectful, and collaborative—centered on understanding each person’s strengths, preferences, and lived experience. His broad clinical background includes community mental health, residential and forensic treatment settings, rural programs, and integrated care clinics, allowing him to adapt his approach to a wide range of support needs.

Andrew also serves as a Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, where he mentors graduate students and guest lectures on psychopharmacology in autism and intellectual disability. He earned his Master of Science in Psychiatric Nursing from OHSU and has been nationally board-certified since 2007.

Outside of his clinical and teaching work, Andrew enjoys spending time outdoors with his family—whether hiking, exploring new places, or simply being in nature. He is also a lifelong learner who reads widely on topics far beyond psychiatry, believing that curiosity and openness deepen his understanding of the people he serves.

Andrew is committed to providing safe, affirming, accessible psychiatric care and ensuring that every patient feels heard, understood, and supported with evidence-informed treatment tailored to their needs.
